Your Contestant Page is the place where you will upload your video or audio, a picture and input a statement about yourself and your talent.

  1. When you have your materials ready to place on your page, you should already be logged in to coming2hollywood.com (otherwise, go to coming2hollywood.com, and log in now). Contestants who have not yet created their page will see a link on the right hand side of the page entitled "Create Content." Click on the "Create Content" link. This takes you to a page where you will input your contestant information.
  2. At the top of the Create Content form, put the 'public' name you want to be known as. If you already have a "stage name", use that one. Otherwise, use the name you want your public to know you under.
  3. Using the form, you may now upload a PICTURE in jpg, gif or png format. This picture will appear at various places on the website next to your public name, and it will be the default image viewable inside the video/audio player on your contestant page. The picture must be between 80x80 pixels and 512x512 pixels and no larger than 356kb in file size. After you locate the picture on your local computer don't forget to PRESS THE "UPLOAD" BUTTON.
  4. Using the form, you will now upload an AUDIO file or a VIDEO file. Video files MUST be in one of FLV, MOV, MP4 or MPG formats and can be no larger than 80 MB in size. The best ones are usually FLV or MOV formats. Audio files MUST be in MP3 format and can be no larger than 80 MB in size (that's a LOT of audio). After you locate the video or audio file on your local computer, don't forget to PRESS THE "UPLOAD" BUTTON.
  5. Now, in the "About Me" section, you have 20 or more lines of space to talk about yourself, your talent, etc. You may cut and paste from a text editor or word processor but formatting will be lost. NOTE that for security purposes, the only way to add formatting in this section, such as bold or italic letters, is to use HTML code. You are permitted to use a limited set of html codes in this form - all others will be stripped from your post by the system (for security purposes). See the bottom of the text input field to see which html codes you can use.
  6. After inputting everything you want, you must go to the bottom of the page and click the "save" button. If you have input things correctly, the form will save and you will now see your contestant page. If you do not hit the save button, nothing you uploaded will be saved and your page will not be created. At the top of the page you will see an "edit" tab.
  7. Your page is saved, but it is NOT PUBLISHED. That means that it is not yet visible to the public. You may change the publish status of your page at any time, making it "published" or "unpublished" as you wish. This feature allows you to work on your page without fear that it is not the way you like it.To make the page visible to the world, you need to change the "publishing options." At the bottom of your contestant page on the left hand side, there is a "Publishing Options" Box. When you click on that box, you will be able to see and select "publish" or "not published." So to publish you Contestant Page you must select "publish" and you must again click "save". Your page is now published and ready for votes!
  8. From now on, you will no longer see the "Create Content" link at the right side of the screen. It is replaced by a link called "Contestant Page," and you can get to your contestant page by clicking on that link.
  9. You can always edit the content of your Contestant Page by going to it and clicking on the Edit tab near the top of the page. That tab is viewable only by YOU. You may change the content, picture, upload a new video, etc. at any time and as many times as you wish.
